Thinking about getting cylinders bored or a top end kit? When boring a Sea Doo cylinder, it must be precision matched to the piston so make sure your machine shop does that! If they aren’t experienced in boring to the precise tolerances required on a Rotax, you should consider my services. Although I may be a little more expensive than some out there, once you see what’s done and how it’s done, you’ll understand why. You really do get what you pay for and on a Rotax, believe me you shouldn’t skimp in important areas critical for the longevity of a rebuild!
Here’s what I offer… If you send your cylinder(s) to my friends engine/machine they will precision bore and hone to match to your new piston or can provide you with new OEM, WSM or Pro-X quality pistons at competitive prices. Parts will arrive at your door labeled so you put the proper pistons into the proper cylinders and we’ll also throw in any instructions you may need for the job! Finally, if your cylinder(s) are damaged/not able to be bored or you don't have them, add $75 per cylinder to the previous prices if you want us to use our cores for the bore job. If you want new sleeves installed and bored to standard or any other size, add $90 per cylinder.
Finally, the only way we’ll bore is if we can match to a piston so sorry no exceptions on that one.

A note about 787 boring… As long as your cylinders don't need bored out past 0.25mm over, you should be able to reuse your rave assemblies as-is (you should disassemble and clean them though). Unfortunately though, we never see cylinders that only need 0.25 bore. The only cylinder that could get away with 0.25 over is basically a low hour cylinder with no wear. If you’re sending in cylinders, they’ll be bored 0.50mm over or larger therefore you'll need to clearance the rave guillotines so they don't hit the pistons. If you need to clearance them, the backyard way I've seen people do that is by wrapping sandpaper around an old piston and sanding the blade until you take off enough so it falls within the clearance specs (0.50mm is clearance spec for std bore). If you have access to a cnc mill, that would probably do a nice job as well. Also make sure you’re using the current slotted rave valves. They’ll have two slots on one side of the blade running from end to end. If you need those updated ones, let me know since I usually have those in stock as well.
