Sea Doo Tool Rental!

www.JetBoating.net

A site that has free
Jetboat manuals
and other related
info found here!

I offer NOS parts for Sea Doo watercraft and my prices are usually lower than you’ll find anywhere else! The part you receive will be in new condition unless noted in its’ description. Since I sell outdated inventory from dealers who no longer carry Sea Doo, the packaging may have dirt on it, may be damaged, opened or missing, but that doesn’t affect the part in any way.
If you need a part you don't find on this site, e-mail me with the model, year, and part you need and I'll see what I can do for you.

Sea Doo Tips

To avoid expensive
electrical system damage
NEVER
jump start your ski
with a running vehicle!!

Change your pump oil
every 50 hours and
you’ll save money in
the long run !

Battery dying in your Trim
equipped 1995 up Sea Doo?
Disconnect your VTS unit.
If that fixes the problem
the module probably has
failed due to moisture.

Every time you have
your engine compartment
open, grab the motor and
give it a pull to make sure
your motor mounts are in
good shape. Broken mounts
can cause driveline and pipe
problems if not caught early!

Save money and time
by doing repairs yourself
instead of using a dealer!

Aftermarket MPEM for Sea Doo PWC

If you’ve come to the conclusion that you need an MPEM (Ignition Module) for your older Sea Doo and have priced the OEM units, you probably have found they are expensive! I do have an alternate option in an aftermarket unit that’s a direct replacement. I’ve sold several and they seem to work well. To find out if I have one that will work for you, look below to see if I have one available that will fit your year/model. If you find one that looks right, click the email link for the one you’re interested in and I’ll send purchase details. If you don’t see it listed, you’ll probably have to go with OEM.

One note about these units… they work great and are a bargain but the only drawback I see is that the first two below don’t have waterproof fuse covers like the oem units. That shouldn’t really pose a problem though since they’re normally in the grey waterproof box. The third is located in the hull and does have a fuse cover but it doesn’t have a waterproof seal so I would recommend a little silicone all the way around the outside of it to help keep moisture out.

Also, if your problem is the 5A fuse blowing, that usually indicates a bad mpem. You really should figure out how the mpem got damaged though before installing a new mpem. Things that damage a mpem include jump starting with a running vehicle, a bad/grounding out stator, bad rectifier, bad vts module, or other electrical issues. Make sure to check/repair those components before installing a new mpem since these aftermarket units I offer are non refundable and you don’t want to damage a band new one due to a faulty component.

Finally, note that normally you would need to have your dess lanyard programmed to an oem mpem but these units will work with any dess lanyard so no programming is needed! Don’t spread that around the marina though!!

Note that as is the case with your local dealer, there is no warranty on new or used modules purchased from me. The reason is that I can’t guarantee some other problem in your electrical system hasn’t damaged your original mpem and/or the replacement unit. Every one of the mpems below is thoroughly tested at the factory before being shipped to me so they’re absolutely in proper working condition when you receive one. Make sure all other components are in proper working condition before installing a new mpem!

The aftermarket mpems below are for 787 powered skis where timing is controlled in the mpem. You’ll need to keep the following points in mind when considering purchasing and using one of these. First and foremost, there’s no exchange or refund on these so you’ll want to be sure there’s nothing else in the system causing you problems before you purchase one of these. The installer will need to possess the mechanical ability and proper tools to properly check engine timing on a 787 Rotax. I will in no way be held responsible for the installers inability to get one of these to work right or for damage caused by improper timing settings. Also note I don’t normally stock these but can have them here in a couple days once payment is in hand.
